North Carolina CARES for Arts Grants will provide aid to arts groups impacted by the pandemic

As part of the state’s spending plan for federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding, $9.4 million has been designated for direct aid to local arts councils and arts organizations impacted by COVID-19. The N.C. Arts Council is distributing these funds through a new grant program: North Carolina CARES for Arts. |
We’re pleased be able to grant funds to local arts organizations, arts businesses, arts groups and community individual artists working in Brunswick County.
What You Need to Know
- These funds will be distributed on a per capita basis to all North Carolina counties with a population less than 1 million people
- These funds may be used to offset business disruption and/or expenses incurred because of COVID-19 between March 1, 2020, and December 30, 2020
- Guidelines for this grant program are now posted
If you represent an arts organization, arts group, arts business or are an individual artist in Brunswick County you might be eligible. Complete request applications will be submitted to Brunswick Arts Council.
