The Waterway Art Association will present its 26 th Annual Spring Art Show and Sale at the Hickman Crossroads Library located at 1040 Calabash Road, NW, Calabash, NC. The Library is a new location for the Waterway exhibit this year. The show will be on display in the newly opened exhibition space at the library.
The show and reception are open to the public with free admission, Tuesday May 16th to Friday May 19th from 10 AM. to 5:30 PM. An artists’ reception and awards presentation will be held on Thursday, May 18th from 3:30 to 5:30 PM.
This year’s judge is Freeman Beard a signature member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, an associate member of the National Watercolor Society, and a member of the Durham Art Guild. Beard is a native of North Carolina. He was raised in the foothills of the Carolina Mountains and studied art at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.
Mr. Beard will be presenting a three day workshop from Tuesday through Thursday, May 16th through 19th , at
the Bellinger Artworks Studio, 283B Koolabrew Drive NW in Calabash, NC 28467. For information about the workshop, artists should contact Kathleen Durstewitz, to please
Cost for the three day event is $185 for members of the Waterway Art Association and $220 for non- member participants. All interested artists are invited to participate in the workshop.
The annual art show will include works by members and non-members of Waterway Art Association and will include two dimensional works in oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, graphite, pen and ink and mixed media. For further information about the event, please contact
