The American Legion Post 167 Presents its First Monthly HAMPSTEAD FINE ARTS & CRAFTS EXHIBITION & SALE with Book Signings by Noted Local Authors

Exhibition Dates: Sat. Feb. 25th from 10 am to 6 pm and Sun. Feb. 26th from 1 pm to 5 pm

Exhibition Location: American Legion Post 167 16660 US Hwy. 17 N. Hampstead, NC 28443

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years or older.

Media & Exhibition Criteria: The exhibition is open to original works of art in any medium.

All 2D work (and photography) must be ready for hanging or fit with other works in their bins including smaller framed pieces. Frames must have strong wire and screw eyes (No saw tooth hangers). Canvas wraparound must meet gallery standards. All 3D work must be sturdy; fit within the confines of the ample allotted table space and displays must be the responsibility of the artist upon delivery. Crafts persons will have a separate attached room just for artisans (some tables available).

Entries accepted in order of receipt (Registration Form and check). It would be appreciated if participants stay with their work if possible.

Entry Fee: Each 2D artist is invited to submit as many entries as will comfortably fit within the 5′ x 8′ space using any of your own screens and/or bins for a total entry fee of $25. Bin work must be foam core backed and either shrink wrapped or in plastic sleeves with proper pricing and labels. Reproductions (giclees) must be signed as such. Approximately 10 to 12 – 2D areas are available for an entry fee of $25. Each 3D artist is invited to submit sturdy work which will fit within the confines of the allotted space (some tables available) for an entry fee of $25. DEADLINE 2/18/17. Delivery of Work: Works must be hand delivered between 8 am and 10 am on Saturday, 2/24. 3D artists will arrange their work on the table space allotted to them. Pick up for unsold items is Sun., Feb. 26 at 5 pm sharp. We cannot be responsible for work not picked up. Rights and Conditions: Entries will not be juried. However, the work must be solely that of the artist and must be of a quality consistent with a fine art show. The Committee reserves the right of refusal. Submission of an entry to the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant to the conditions set forth in this prospectus and your signature on the Registration Form indicates your understanding of and compliance with the terms of this agreement. Mission Statement: A significant portion of the proceeds will go to The American Legion Post 167 in their efforts to assist Veterans Affairs, National Security, Americanism and children and youth.
