Acrylic Painting Workshop with Tony Alderman

May 17 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

The workshop will a two-part format. Demonstration of skies. Layering with water and acrylic glazing medium – Layering of colors. Brushing out and feathering
Hands on working together. Demonstration of water, Layering with water and acrylic glazing medium, Layering of colors, Layers and glazing dictate the process.
For both demonstrations, there would also be hands-on working with paint. Because of the use of heavy glazing medium each person should bring two canvases to work on as the glazing medium can take up to 12 to 14 hours to dry completely. There’s work that goes on over each of the dried canvases, so it would be advisable to be able to work on two different canvases.
Points covered: The use of atmospheric perspective to create depth. The way atmospheric perspective does not usually work on ocean water and why we break the rules. The use of multiple colors to create Skies and water. Go to Waterway website for updated information cost, once this has been posted.
